Please post or e-mail me the lyrics, artist who wrote this song, and
where I can purchase a copy of this song. Is it on any compilations?
Dr. D? Any URL's out their where I can get this info? Thanks, Tom

As far as I know, this was never released. It's the most popular Tim
Cavanagh song not to be included on his otherwise fine CD Sounds Like Fun. I
assume it was left off b/c of copyright concerns with "99 Red Balloons".

The lyrics to it, and many other demented songs, are at the
rec.music.dementia web site:

unfortunately i cannot lend anything informative. but i used to LOVE that
song! i must have worn out the tape i got years ago. even today, whenever
i think of duetschland i hum a little ditty about dead baboons.

this song needs a resurgence.

how's your mother
how's your aunt
how's your father's skin diving suit

that line made the song for me.

That one's Jake.
That one's Ida.
There's Big Ned in my recliner.
No, it's not a lazy boy!
Can't you see it's a dead baboon?

ALWAYS cracks me up.

Back in August, Tim Cavanagh was live with us on the air on
my show Friggin Here. He played a bunch of songs for us, one
of which was 99 Dead Babboons. :)

In our family, 99 Dead Baboons has special relevance. One of my
brothers was in a germanophile phase, and listened to Nena's 99
Luftballons with reckless abandon, despite not knowing German at that
time. My other brother was a Dementoid, and used to take flack for the
music he listened to. Thus, Tim Cavanaugh provided the ammunition for
brotherly revenge.

Yeah. Tim told me back when he was on the show with us that he didn't put
any parodies on the album because he didn't want to get sued.

I like better the version "95 Dead Baboons" that
Z100 did about WPLJ (which is at 95.5 on the dial).

Oh the irony dept: Scott Shannon was at Z100 when they
did that parody; Scott is now AT WPLJ
