Is anyone familiar with 'Pinkard & Bowden'? They write a bunch of
parody-type songs, the most recent being a tribute to Jeffery Dahmer
called "(I've got friends) In Crawl Spaces", sung to the tune of
Garth Brooks 'Friends in Low Places'; "Kurt Cobain", a parody of
Carly Simons' "You're So Vain"; and a tribute to the gay line-dancing
craze called "Poop Shoot Boogie" (to the tune 'Boot Scoot Boogie').
Some of you may be familiar with their single from a few years back:
"Elvis Was A Narc".
P & B are currently on sabatical, but if you have the chance to
see them perform live, I would recommend it. BTW- they're act is
x-rated!! Their current releases (on CD) include "Live In Front Of A
Bunch Of D ckhe ds", "Cousins, Cattle, and Other Love Stories", and
"Gettin' Stupid" which you may have seen commercials for on
television. To order 'Gettin' Stupid', the number is 1-800-
TAT-PAPA, though this release does not contain any of the x-rated
stuff, but funny none the less.
Anyone interested in writng to them for fan club info, please
e-mail me and I will forward the address.
