My brother Jon married a girl named Marsha close to 10 years ago. For
their anniversary, I'd love them to hear "John and Marsha", an old demented
record of a couple repeating their names to each another with emotions
ranging from lust to giddiness to anger to fear to happiness.
John. Marsha. John? Marsha?! John John John! MARSHA MARSHA MARSHA! ...

Does anyone know where I can find this record?

If Dr. D reads this and is able to grant the request, will he let me
know via email beforehand so I can tell my brother when to listen?

Thanks!

PS: A Bugs Bunny episode makes a reference to this record! Two aliens get
married at the end of one cartoon. Gazing into each other's eyes, one of them
says "John", and the other replies "Martian."

Not "a couple," but one genius, Stan Freberg, who did both voices.
Moreover, the recording was banned on radio at the time (late '50s?)
for being too dirty for our tender ears.

I have it on an LP ("The Best of SF" Capitol SM-2020), but it's bound
to be available on CD by now.

Dr. D does read these requests, but not from a computer.
I send them to him via fax. He doesn't have e-mail.
However, if you listen to the Dr. Demento show anywhere
other than the L.A. area, David Tanny and JngleCruz post
what is played on the L.A. version of the show. If you
see that your request is played on the L.A. show, expect
to hear it approx. 3 weeks later.

Yep. Stan Freberg, on Capital Records. Should be available on
a "Best Of" compilation cd.

This is available on the Capitol Collector's series CD of Freberg's hits.
(Sorry I don't have the number at hand but it should be readily available from
any major record store). Also has St. George and the Dragonet, Wunnerful
Wunnerful, The World is Waiting for the Sunrise, and about twenty others. A
marvellous collection

My copy says CDP 7 91627 2. I saw two Freberg collections when I
bought this and the other was a complete subset of this one, so there
was no point in getting both.

Aside, I know that USA Vol.1 is released on CD (with Bonus Tracks!)
but is Madison Ave. Werewolf out on CD?

Not in record stores. It may be available through mail order. Seems
like I saw it in a catalog recently, like maybe Wireless. (Or it may
have been available only on cassette.)
