I can't believe it! She was the best! Unbelievable...
That is really sad... and so young... A real loss to society.
Life is really short and unpredictable, isn't it.

Another news story about the death of Meri Wilson Edgemon from the Albany
(GA) Herald:

Americus woman dies in one-vehicle crash

AMERICUS - A 53-year-old Americus woman was killed Saturday in a one-vehicle
accident on State Highway 377.

Meri Wilson Edgemon was traveling north on Highway 377 around 7 p.m.,
Americus State Patrol Trooper Walter L. Spurlin said. She was about five
miles south of Americus when her 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser weaved and ran off
the shoulder of the road, Spurlin said. The vehicle traveled about 100 feet
before it struck a concrete drainage culvert, went airborne, then landed on
a dirt embankment. The vehicle overturned at least twice before resting
right side up, Spurlin said.

Edgemon, who was wearing seatbelts, was pronounced dead at the scene before
being transported to Sumter Regional Hospital, Spurlin reported. There were
no passengers.
