Emily Kaitz has a song called "The Night Bob Dylan Bowled a 300 Game"
on her album "Terminally Trendy."
It's on Pingleblobber Records in Austin, TX.
Or, somewhere in Texas.

: Also, The Rolling Stones' "Dear Doctor" may qualify, but perhaps not.

What a coincidence! I posted a message almost exactly like this a few
months ago. Besides "Polka Dot Undies," I would include "Blowin' in the
Wind (A Female Perspective)" and "Well It Ain't." Also: Sebastian Cabot's
unintentionally hilarious readings of Dylan lyrics on the GOLDEN THROATS
albums (vol. 1 and 2, not 3). John Lennon spoofed Dylan with the
unreleased track "Serve Yerself," which has surfaced on bootleg albums and
the LOST LENNON TAPES radio show. Bill Murray did a funny version of
"You're Gonna Have to Serve Somebody" on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE once, but
that's never been released on record that I know of. Dana Carvey
impersonated Dylan a number of times on SNL.

And I almost forgot: "Song For Bob Dylan" by Wally Pleasant.

Dylan has gotten a bit deeemented now and then himself, especially on the
Traveling Wilburys' albums.

I still think the good Dr. could put an entertaining "Demented Dylan" set
together.

To respond, remove all the consonants from my e-mail address. Then add
your grandmother's maiden name and the square root of your shoe size.
Then ask yourself if it's really worth the effort.

Comedy on Wry, a Toronto-based comedy troupe which might be defunct,
released an indie CD about three years ago. It began with "Keelor/Dylan
(Together Again for the First Time)" which used Zimmerman's music and
completely unintelligible lyrics and/or groans.

It reminded me of Joe (Spinal Tap) Blevin's follow regarding Saturday
Night Live. I vaguely recall an episode where Tom Petty served as an
interpretter for Zimmerman. The details are blurred in a cold-induced
haze now, but at the time I recall them as being very funny.
