Amy, whatcha gonna do?
I think I could stay with you.
For a while, maybe longer, if I could.
It then goes on to a refrain of
Fallin in and out of love with you
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks,

If the voice sounds familiar, it's probably because Vince Gill used to
be the lead singer of the Pure Prairie League.

Sheesh, can't let this one pass by.
The lead singer on "Amy" is Craig Fuller, late of Pure Prairie League,
currently of Little Feat, and with stops in American Flyer and The
Eric Kaz Band in the middle. Now, there is a Larry Gill in PPL who
took over lead vocals after Fuller left, but he doesn't look or
sound much like Vince. I lost interest after Fuller left the band,
so maybe Vince made a belated appearance on the scene. But that's
definitely Craig Fuller singing on "Amy."

This song was on a PURE PRAIRE LEAGUE album, BUSTIN' OUT, I
believe. The song FALLING IN AND OUT OF LOVE was added to the end of the song
AMY. Both songs are on the one album.
I'd like to know how to play the guitar solo at the beginning of the song AMY.

There is a new version of this song - put out about two years ago. Good
song. The new version is by the "Double Eagle Band". The tape is called
either "Prairie Fire" or "Fire on the Prairie". I've good the tape at
home but can't remember the exact name of it. Good tape, though. At
least two of the band members are/were from Manitoba, Canada. I don't
know if this band is still together, though.

Being a fan of early Pure Prairie League stuff (Pure Prarie League, Bustin'
Out, Two Lane Highway albums), I'd be very interested in any band that has
recorded "Amie". If you could post the name and recording company and
stock # from the tape I'd really be grateful. Is the rest of the tape
similar to early Pure Prairie League stuff? Is it available on CD?
Did you get it in Canada? Has anyone seen it in the U.S., or have any
other comments on this band? Thanks very much.

I don't know if the Double Eagle Band sounds at all like the Pure Prairie
League stuff, but I consider it good country music.
They released the song "Amie" on their "Prairie Fire" tape. I bought this
tape in Canada, so I don't know if it is available in the U.S. I don't know
if it is on CD either. Here are the particulars for the tape:
copyright = 1986
Stock # = BSRC-33729
