Dixie Chick Emily Robison, husband divorce
SAN ANTONIO - Dixie Chick Emily Robison and her husband, singer
Charlie Robison, have divorced.
The San Antonio Express-News reported that Charlie Robison filed for
divorce in January. The couple were at the Bexar County Courthouse on
Wednesday when the divorce was finalized.
The divorce filing states their marriage had "become insupportable
because of discord or conflict of personalities."
"We can confirm that the divorce is final. They remain the best of
friends and their family is obviously the priority," a spokesperson
for the Dixie Chicks said in an e-mail to The Associated Press on
Thursday.
A spokesman for Charlie Robison, an independent singer-songwriter from
Bandera, also said their family remains the priority, but he declined
further comment.
The couple, married in 1999, have three children.

Natalie maines - one of the smartest, bravest women around. All she
did was speak the truth. And not only did she and The Dixie Chicks get
crucified for speaking the truth, they're ashamed to be from the same
state as Pres. Shrub and I'm ashamed to be from the same galaxy!
Their truth not only affected them, but every female artist in
nashville as well. They opened the doors of acceptenvce to female
country singers. But male record executives, spell that good ole boys
still don't want female artists and they been looking for a way to
shut the door that The Dixie Chicks, LeAnn Rimes, Shania twain,
martina mcBride and faith Hill opned up. And when Natalie spoke the
truth and continued speaking, they finally found a way to silence
almost all of the female artists again. It was just Natalie, Martie
and Emily that were blacklisted - it was the female talent as a whole,
as an entity.
If you don't believe go back and look at the charts and look at them
now. You'll see them once again dominated by much less talented, male
counterparts. There's only three women getting any air play at all -
Taylor Swift, Julianne Hough and Barrie Underwood. But if you listen
to a typical country station, you'll hear 15 straight male singers
singing off key and through their nose before you hear a female. But
that type of programming had changed because you were hearing 5 to 7
women every hour. After natalie spoke the truth, you were lucky and
still are lucky if you hear 2.
Emily was the only one of the three that hadn't been previously
divorced. Now unfortunately, she's joined the club. It's got to be
hard for her, Natalie and martie to raise their families and continue
working on their magnificent music. After all, they have eight little
ones between them. When Barbara Mandrell embarked upon her country
career, she had 2 children - Matthew and Jamie Nicole whom she raised
on her tour bus. But with all those kids between them, there's no way
Natalie, martie and Emily can do that.
As a child of divorce, all I can say is that I hope the children can
maintain some sort of relationship with their father. I have two
brothers and I was the only one of us that did have a relationship
with our Dad and it's created a lifetime of family strife. I pray that
doesnt't happen with Emily and Charlie's children.

No, God made her that way.
He filed because their 'marriage had "become insupportable
because of discord or conflict of personalities."
In othe words, she was acting like a b!tch too often.
LOL!
She must have taken lessons from you, then!
