Shania Twain: Please! Steve Earle was correct, because this woman is the
highest paid lap-dancer in Nashville. Any of you kiddies that think she is so
sweet and innocent need to go to the bank and find out why your reality check
bounced. She was one of the most promiscuous people around before she was
signed to a recording contract. As for her ability to sing, it does not exist.
I've seen karaoke singers that could outdo her in drothes. I don't mind pop
music in the least, but when the songs are poorly written and the performer
sings them with as much talent as a screeching owl, it becomes quite
disgusting.
Tracy Lawerance: Should have recorded '16 Tons', because he has one hand of
iron and the other of steel. Not to mention a nose full of cocaine and an arm
full of heroin. I have heard just about enough of people claiming that he
saved his girlfriend by taking a bullet. That was a white washed press story.
The actual incident was a drug deal that went bad, and Tracy got shot. The man
is slime, through and through. Sorry, deal with it.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill: Would you two please get a room? Preferably one
without any recording equipment. If I must listen to one more of your sappy
love songs, I will vomit all over the place. Individually, Faith, while being
a good singer, is a lousy live performer, messes up her songs, and uses her kid
for cheers and sympathy ("Oh, look, she's pregnant, again, and she has her kid
with her, well, we can forgive her for a bad performance"). She slept with
whomever she toured with that would give her the time of day (which almost cost
Alan Jackson his marriage to Denise), and she finally found one that was
willing to stick around and further her dying career. When it comes to Tim, he
sings some pretty decent songs, but they get overplayed, and they could have
easily been done better by other people. His new single, "Where The Green
Grass Grows", had 'George Strait's voice' written all over it.
Lee Ann Womack and Sara Evans: Thank God for these two women, bringing talent
and modesty back to the industry. They may just be the saving grace of country
music.
LeAnn Rimes: Yes, she has a good voice, but nowhere near the best voice in the
industry. Someone needs to drill this fact into her swelled head. She
wouldn't be nearly as annoying to hang around with if she didn't think that she
was God's gift to the music industry.
Lila McCann: Very pleasant voice, but needs some polish and work. With some
vocal coaching, she could be one of the major players in the industry, because
she has one of the most amiable personalities around. Keep your eyes peeled.
Dixie Chicks: All very talented girls. Natalie once swore that she would
never sing country music, and that she would always be R&B. It's amazing what
a paying gig will do to your outlook on life. These girls are going to be the
standard on what all other female artists and groups are judged on.
Trace Adkins: Great singer, lousy dancer. If any of you have seen Cledus T.
Judd's new video for 'Every Light In The House Is Blown', he does justice to
Trace's dance style. However, if we are talking strictly music here, Trace is
one of the best out there.
Steve Wariner: This man is to guitars what Julia Child is to a crock pot. To
top that off, he has a wonderful voice and a stellar personality.
Garth Brooks: Sorry, hate to disappoint you people that want to hear that he
is a complete jerk, but the man really is one of the nicest people in the
industry. He doesn't fall into any of the potholes the other artists do
(drinking, drugs, egocentricities, etc). He is a very genuine man who believes
in what he does, and tries to do it the best that he can. He is just like the
proverbial guy next door.
As for the people in this group, here is what I can assertain (and some of you
folks I already know):
Linda, Floyd, Geno, and Nshvlbrat: These four are the real deal, so listen to
their words, and you will keep well informed.
Stella: Actually, Ricky White is a country music fan from New York that loves
the music and goes to many concerts with his mother. Rather obsessed with Suzy
Bogguss, and the Bottom Line incident was for real, but not the way Rich would
have it portrayed. An expert writer that plays the members of this group like
so many puppies, holding a treat up, making them jump, and then snatching it
away at the last second.
James: You seem like a nice guy, but sometimes you try too hard to be nice.
Fly off the handle sometimes, tell someone to go to hell. Good luck with your
music career, you seem to have a good head, so I'd give you a good chance of
making it. Just don't be so happy that you hide your true self, because that
is what people can relate to. Look at Garth.
ShaniaFan9: Psychotic, mentally unstable teenager stuck in a post-teen body.
Somehow gained access to a computer.
Debbie Caudill: Nice person that turns into a nut the way Dr. Jekyll turns
into Mr. Hyde, at the simple mention that Tracy Lawerance might actually have a
problem. Deb, you really are a good person, but let the Tracy thing go, and
you'll be better for it.
Don (British Columbia): Nice guy that has the same reaction about Shania Twain
that Debbie has about Tracy Lawerance. Same advice applies.
Scott (westside.USPAMBACK.yahoo.com): Take a Ritilin. You're a good guy, but
you tend to fly off at things too easily. When you are relaxed, you are one of
the most pleasant and enjoyable people to converse with.
As for now, that is all I can think of to mention. My intention was not to
offend anyone (although some of my statements about artists and people here are
bound to ruffle some feathers), but simply to both inform and state my opinion.
I have no intention of flaunting my name or position in the industry, as these
things do not make me any more or less of a man. I will simply tell you that I
know what I am talking about, and I will leave it to you to believe me or to
not believe me.
Thank you for your time.

This person is right about some things. Tim and Faith I disagree cause I'd
love to find a love as true as theirs. People may say crap about them cause
thats the business for ya. Can't do anything w/o gettin crap from someone. I
agree that Lee Ann and Sara are the best around!!!!! Rimes is annoying!!!
But most of the stuff is true. I just disagree w/ the Tim and Faith one and
I don't know what to say bout Tracy. I don't know what to believe on here. I
know a guy who went to school w/ Nat from the Chicks and he said he was
shock to see her in country music. Doesn't bug me cause she gives the band
spice that makes them big stars. Steve Warnier is the best singer out there,
Garth..ahh..so-so. Don't care really! Trace has the voice but I'm not with

God, someone actually SAID IT! This is nothing new here, we've known all
about his "little" problem for years. Now, what good is anger control ?
That's not the root of his "problem". He needs to accept the help he's been
offered (over and over)....it's a damn shame he doesn't see it. So much
talent, but he's on the road to destruction if he doesn't get some HELP! He

Deb...I've seen really "true" fans stand up for their favs before, but you let

I don't. Writers like this are a dime a dozen... This person is somewhat
gifted and sounds authoritative but offers no verification of his cheap shots.
I don't think much of the vicious, gossipy style and will withhold further
judgement pending verification of the things he says. At the least, most of
the information in the post is none of my business or concern...at the worst,
it is a cheap, libelous, career threatening attack on some talented folks who
have provided me with many countless hours of entertainment. Hacks on who prey
on stars are all over the place and many of them have become very adept at

If the writer was any kind of a professional, he should either shut the hell

They are very talented and underrated. I wish the industry would give them a
shot, but they aren't the common pretty boys that are out right now, so I am
not holding my breath for any extended period of time.
Well, she fits with the, as I read it put somewhere else around here, "smarmy

differance is that the majority of the others putting out this "smarmy pap",
while still as vilely disgusting,

It was simply something that needed to be said. I am just sad that I had to be

information.

Scott has gone through too much hell. The man needs a vacation from the place

this business. Talk about love of your work!
>Let's hope her label doesn't do her in. She's a big talent...
Most definately. Well, Asylum/Elektra has a tendency of being jumpy with their
artists. Thankfully her debut album is reaching towards platinum status, so
they will probably keep her for a little while.

Just from reading Luvless' posts, I have definately grown to an affinity for
the man's writing and character. If I had been thinking, I would have added
him to the list I was typing up, but I was in a bit of a hurry towards the end.

Thank you, Brat. I take that Standing O from you with great honor! Have a
good day.
Actually, I think the industry gave them a huge shot. MCA dropped a bundle
promoting them before their singles caught on. That hotel lounge tour was a
stroke of genius for the press value alone. Raoul may have shot himself in the
foot a few times with tempermental outbursts at several radio-sponsored events,
cussing on-stage, storming off-stage, etc. And, God love 'em, they're
willing to make albums that they know well in advance are not radio friendly.
Hopefully, they've staked out their turf and no longer require consistent
airplay to keep their sales high enough to keep their label.

Great post! I used to post on this group a lot, a few years back and
earlier, but bailed out because of the tenor of discourse. You've dragged
me back out of lurking mode.
I'm curious: what do you do in the biz? I know you don't wish to reveal
your identity, but can you tell us if you're with a label, a publishing
house, in A&R, promotions, etc.? Thanks.
Ahhhh. It is simply a fancy way of saying "large amounts". At times, I tend
to use $20 words when $0.50 would suffice. (smile)
Silly, silly, silly. You should know that Cledus didn't write this. After
all, at his place, "Every Light In The House Is Blown". (wry smile)
Jeff, I am quite glad that you have come out of lurk mode to start posting
again.
>I'm curious: what do you do in the biz? I know you don't wish to reveal

Let us just say that I left an agency that I dislike and am attempting (with
what seems to be much futile effort) to start my own agency.
Well, I think I'd ask for a refund for that $20 word. It's not in the
dictionary. Perhaps you meant to say "droves?"
(smile right back atcha)
I can certainly understand your way of thinking, Dondi3. But just
because I stated that I believe most of what he said, doesn't
necessarily mean that it's true. There's always some doubt in my mind
about comments that are made about any of the artists. The only way I
would be totally convinced would be if I heard it from those persons
themselves. I guess the reason I found the statements believable is
because most of it mirrors my own personal thoughts of the artists
mentioned.

Hi, Jay.
"Droves" *is* the word the poster was looking for. Mr.Webster does not
list "drothes" as a word.
Because of my advanced age (and lack of typing speed), I am a little
late in welcoming our provocative new friend to the group. It is good to

Thank you. Although I have provoked quite the irate set of reactions from the
psychopathic sect of the Shania fans (notice that I said "sect", in fact saying
that I know there are many Shania fans out there that are quite open-minded).

>Stella: Actually, Ricky White is a country music fan from New York
that loves the music and goes to many concerts with his mother.
I am very upset that you dragged my poor old Mom into this.
She is an invalid in a wheel chair who is suffering from advanced
endomorphitis. She is so bad off she has been parallyzed in recent
years and has been diagnosed as semi brain-dead.
The only way my poor Mom can show her feelings is by small movements of
the little finger on her left hand, her pinkie. Since she moves her
pinky lots when I take her to country music concerts, I think she must
be happy. That's the only reason we go.
Many nights I have laid awake debating whether it would be humanitarian
to pull the plug on Mom. My shrink and her doctor have said it would be
okay. The problem is...she isn't plugged into anything to pull.
Why did you "out" my poor Mom? What pervert pleasure do you take in
abusing the elderly? The elderly used to be people too, you know.

You are familier with the breed of dog that is currently doing the Taco

I know that it is noble of me to take care of my Mom. But you don't
understand.
I don't want her reputation tarnished by some of the scurrilous people
here and their rumors.
My Mom worked hard as a prostitute for many years. Now that she is
parallyzed, she can finally relax and enjoy life.
Stella
Why did you "out" poor Suzy, Ricky? And what do you mean by "used to be
people"? The elderly are people, just as much as you or I.
As I said, I was simply stating the state of affairs in this industry, and,

much a part of this industry.

Maggie, not to worry. I enjoy the people around here, and I find the ability

As I said, I was simply stating the state of affairs in this industry,

I didn't out Suzy. She outted herself by singing these songs:
* Diamonds and Tears
* Hey Cinderella
* Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word
* This is the Beginning
She also outted herself with the "Hey Cinderella" video. Watch it
closely. The guy who directed it, Roger, knew as much about Suzy's past
as I ever will. How do you suppose he knew this stuff, Ace, unless she
told him?
I just interpreted what she wrote or sang.
What you need to get straight, Ace, is that I didn't start writing
about Suzy until AFTER she was blackballed. I got sick of watching the
shit come down on her head. As a fan of hers, I decided to speak up.
When I saw how effective a fan could be fighting on the Internet for
Suzy, I didn't waste time stepping up to the plate for Mindy.
Why aren't you speaking up against abuse, Ace? You like to just sit
back and watch the music die? You know it's dying...don't you? Why
don't you tell the truth?
Stella
>As I said, I was simply stating the state of affairs in this industry,
and, much as we would hate to admit it, your loud mouth/keyboard has

It makes me feel good to know that. Because it means my contribution to
the industry has been this...never again will those BTO bastards in
Nashville be so sure they can get away with a crime like the Beach Bums
#12 cover-up. Never again will they be so sure they can bribe public
servants to intimidate a fan, like they tried at the Bottom Line.
From now on, whenever they think about something that devious and
arrogant to perpetuate their secrets, lies and power, they will look
over their shoulder at the Internet and think twice. That's a pretty
impressive legacy for one little person to give an industry...don't you
think so, Ace?
Stella
P.S. How do you feel about the lives that were ruined by the Beach Bums
#12 cover-up, Ace?
I am so sorry, Max! Endomorpitis is a scourge. Most endomorphs have
trouble staying in a wheel chair. Due to the size and shape of their
tummies, they roll right out. Do you use
a safety belt?

Max, I think she wants to become a performer. Try wheeling her on stage.
If her pinkie moves in time with the music, my theory is correct. This
would qualify her to perform
with Lillith Fair since she would be more antimated than most of their
acts.

Please show a little ingenuity, Stel. Try plugging her *into* an

her way.

Get it straight Ace. I'm not part of your stinkin' industry and don't
want to be. I'm a country music fan. And I'm tired of watching crooks
and idiots kill off artistry and drive our traditional music into the
ground.
I'm sick of watching abusive white men squash the voices of artistic
modern women in country music. I'm talking about women like Suzy, Mary
Chapin, Kathy Mattea, Kris Tyler, Cheri Knight, Iris Dement and Kim
Richey.
I don't care what it takes, if they keep doing it I'll make sure the
inside story is known. I would love to bring down Joe Galante...watch
him grovel for the respect of other powerful white men that he craves.
I would love to hold Tim DuBois up to the light, so the world can see

These men are incapable of taking a difficult stand for the betterment
of their industry or music. That's my message.
I'm not shouting at them any louder than Thomas Payne shouted at King
George, Rachel Carson shouted at Dow Chemical, or Ralph Nader shouted
at General Motors.
I want our traditional music back. I want these cowardly selfish men to
pay for trying to steal it, to increase their own wealth and power
while covering up their industry's secrets and lies.

Obviously you can't tell the difference between "malicious
gossip" and the truth. If you had any contacts within the
country music business, you would have heard some of the items
NC mentioned over a year ago. Just because the fans haven't
heard something yet and aren't going to like it doesn't mean
it isn't true. It just means a lot of expensive PR
whitewashing has been going on.
Linda C.

Do we readers have the "tools" to tell the difference? No. On the
Internet, anyone can claim to be just about anyone they want to. They
can claim that certain things are factual, but until proof is
provided, it is just "alleged."
If you had any contacts within the
>country music business, you would have heard some of the items
>NC mentioned over a year ago.
And simple fans are going to have contacts within the country music
business? C'mon, now! This is not a Nashville music biz newsgroup.
It's a country western music fan newsgroup. People like you, who are
insiders, agreeing with this person's statements do help lend them
credibility. But someone could also just be a "good guesser." It
doesn't sound like the music biz insiders even know WHO this person
is...
Just because the fans haven't
>heard something yet and aren't going to like it doesn't mean
>it isn't true. It just means a lot of expensive PR
>whitewashing has been going on.
That very likely could be. But we'll never know, will we?
(Unless proof comes, from a reliable source.)
I have nothing against "NC" -- just remain a skeptic.

Well, Stacy, I have been rather busy responding to these posts to be posting
another. Are you looking for another listing, or anything else in specific, or
just another thread in general? I will see what I can do to accomadate, but
just remember, my idea is not to "out" anyone, but simply to state how things
are happening in Nashville and the music industry.
Thank you, Linda, however, I think we have already established this. However,
I will admit, it does need reaffirming every now and again, so, again, I thank
you.
>Believe it, Dan...what Nshcountry wrote is wasn't just "gossip".....
And thank you, Brat. As I said in my original post, Brat and Linda are two of
the most knowledgeable people in this industry, and you can take most of what
they say as being golden! This also goes for such folks as Geno, Elmer, Bill,
and I know I am forgetting some names, but you know who you are.
Lianne, as well you should be. I am simply stating the state of affairs in
Nashville. But never, I repeat, never, take someone else's word on something
without researching it for yourself. Have a good day!
heard much Kathy Mattea or Mary Chapin Carpenter lately. As for Kris Tyler I
loved her first song "What a Woman Knows", but haven't been able to hear
anything since. I've just been looking at some of the stuff posted about Suzy
and a few of the other female artists and would agree with you that it's
about time the inside story came out about these cowards. Maybe then we could
get our music back.

The fact that you know the names of any of the above women disproves your
theory. The only abusive white men who are squashing the voices of these
women are the men who don't buy their albums. The men you attack signed
them to record contracts and gave them the opportunity to have their voices
heard by people like you. The way to squash a voice is to kill it before
it's pressed onto a CD. After that happens, it's up to the public to buy
the record.

It's surprising the information you learn in r.m.c.w. Stella reported,
and a friend of mine agrees, that Prozac has a very detrimental effect on
the sex life. Stella says the answer is Wellbutrin. You may want to
substitute that.

One of the most promiscuous?? Pretty vague wording for gossip - can you
give us a list of your top ten and where Shania fits in??? Perhaps a
promiscuity scale would be handy - you know 1 to ten - ten meaning the most
boinking and one the least....
.Faith Hill- She slept

Whoa!!! Faith nearly ruined Alan Jackson's marriage??? What, did she rape
the man??? Seems to me that IF Alan had an affair with Faith then that was
his decision and it was he who put his marriage at risk and ignored his vows
he made towards his wife on their wedding day.
Please provide the names of the people who you saw Faith & Shania sleep
with - and what was your position when these events occured - leering from
within the closet or under the bed. Which one boinked the most??
How come your bashing only women who may have had flings??? Tell us the

Really?? They both certainly enrich the current country music scene which
is very healthy, but neither shows any signs of taking over from Reba or
Trisha or Shania. Who cares anyway?/ Tell us about their promiscuity and
drug use it's far more interesting. Does Lee Ann know who the father is??
Love that sexy new video that Sara is in now!!!

Great group - as far as being the standard well diversity is the standard in
music and lets hope that no one artist or group is used to judge the rest of
country.
What about their affairs Tom - surely they've tried illegal drugs as well -
perhaps you can slide some more juicy gossip down to us.
>>Linda, Floyd, Geno, and Nshvlbrat: These four are the real deal, so

But - have they done any drugs besides cough medicine?? What about one

often do???
>> >> Don (British Columbia): Nice guy

I take advice from three people - my wife and my mom and my preacher - I
don't take words of wisdom from an gossiper with a yellow mask on..
but still a very interesting post Tom - gossip is a growth industry in
America and your future with the Enquirer looks pretty darn solid..Good Luck

I say,
Well, we can't agree on everything. Although she is, and forever will
be, my absolute favorite singer, I do feel that, as of late, she has
become somewhat trendy thus making her more and more predictable.
(Please don't bite my head of Renee in Dallas!) However, whether she
sings "pure" country or country flavored with pop, her emotion, energy,
and voice continues to put me in awe. PS. If you're wanting "pure"
country from Reba, wait until her next single "Wrong Night"!
NshCountry continued by saying,
"The best female voice in the limelight, hands down, is Martina McBride.
However, the best COUNTRY voice in the limelight, hands down, is Lee Ann
Womack. "
I say,
Alas we agree again. Though Reba is my favorite overall, I feel that
Martina has "the" best voice in country music, which is why she is my
second favorite singer. What I admire most about her is her personality
and the fact that she has not, as of yet, followed the trend that has
almost consumed country females - that being to use her body to sell her
music.
Lee Ann Womack, who just so happens to be my third favorite singer, has
an excellent voice as well.
