(Slow hand and an easy touch)

Need the artist name and the CD that it's on.
This is all she told me about the song.

Thanks All YOU Country People.

Since you're asking on this news group, I assume
you're after the Conway Twitty version of "Slow Hand".
However, if you want the GOOD version, check out
the Pointer Sisters.

The only Country version of this song I ever heard
was by Conway (Hello Darlin) Twitty. And a great one
it was. The song is called "Slow Hand", big surprise.
It was originally done by the Pointer Sisters as a pop
tune. About a year or so later Conway came out with
his version. Most people don't know this, but Conways
version was a million+ seller, far outselling the
Pointer Sister's version. This was unusual in those
days (early 1980's). My wife at the time hated
country music, but she loved this song by Conway Twitty.
Anyway, you can find it on many variations of Conway
Twitty's greatest hits collections. I would recomend
almost any of them since he had soooooo many great
songs. Happy Listening!!!!

Darlin Don't Say A Word,
Cause I've already heard.........

Someone help me here. Eric Clapton was the first with this, no?
I don't have my old Clapton LPs any more, but he was certainly
before the Pointers (and I would guess he had the highest-selling
version also, not to take anything away from Conway or the Pointers).

Well, you need to check out Eric Clapton for the original.

Eric Clapton's nickname is "Slow Hand" and he put out
an album called "Slow Hand". But as far as I know he
has never recorded the song being referenced in these
posts. I guess it's possible he may have recorded it
and it was an obscure album cut, I don't know for sure.
But I am sure that I have never heard a Clapton version
released as a single in the USA. If he did, it must
have came and went very fast. Has any one else ever heard
Eric Clapton associated with this song?????

..... .. ....... ... .

Darlin don't say a word
cause I already heard
what your body's saying to mine
you're tired of fast moves
you've got a slow groove on your mind

You want a man with a slow hand
you want a lover with an easy touch
you want some body who will spend some time
not come and go in a heated rush
baby beleive me I understand
when it comes to love you want a slow hand

YOu must be looking for "Slow Hand", originally recorded by the Pointer
Sisters, than a country hit for the late Conway Twitty.

This is not Eric Clapton. It's "Slow Hand" by the Pointer
Sisters from the early 80's.

It was written by Bruce Springsteen. Johnny Cash also sings one of
Bruce's songs Johnny 99. I don't know what album you can find this
song done by Johnny Cash but it is on the Nebraska album.

Oh my God, maybe I am thinking about Fire not Slow Hand or maybe it
is the same song. Help!!

All I know is that I Elmer's version of Fire than the Pointer
Sisters.

BTW, Eric Clapton is God!

Only song I keep coming back to with these lines is one by
Conway Twitty, with the lines:
"you want a man with a slow hand,

you want a lover with an easy touch"

great song, IMO. Think it's on a greatest hits, besides whatever
it was released on.
