Hi, I posted this about 6 years ago, and no one knew what this was, so I'll try again, I'll copy and paste my original query:

I did searches on this tune (among others) via Google and allmusic.com
and came up empty handed. I had a (novelty?) 45 rpm record when I was
a kid, around 1960 or 1961, may have been a white label promo, which I believe was called "I'm Just A
Country Boy". I don't know if it was an A side or B side for the
lyrics in question:

" I'm just a country boy with nothing to do.
Sha la la-la-la la-la la-la
I'm just a country boy with nothing to do. (or may be "...lonely and blue" in one of these lines).
Sha la la-la-la la-la la-la"
(or something real close as the chorus).

(could be la-la la-la-la - no "sha")

then goes into a long list of chores that I believe, sounded like stuff
that you would have to do on a farm all day. Short 3 word rhyming
lines such as milk the cows, rake the hay, feed the pigs, get no pay.
I think there was a rhyme with day and pay somewhere. But the others
may or may not have been in the lyrics. Was a fairly upbeat tempo, no a slow crooner. May have not been strict country, can't remember, could be pop novelty, but wasn't blues, jazz, hard rock, r&b or doo wop. But maybe pop-country? So long ago, LOL, and haven't heard it since.

It's not the one by Don Williams, George McCurn, Fats Domino, Little Jimmy Dickens, or Harry
Belafonte. Any help appreciated. Thanks much.
