I recently started building an MP3 library using Apple's iTunes
software. There is a tag field available for "composer" but when I
rip a CD Gracenote's CDDB does not automatically populate this field
like it does some of the other fields (song title, artist, genre,
year, and track number). I am taking the time to type in songwriter
information when it included in the CD liner notes, but many of my CDs
contain no such information (CDDB supposedly also has this information
but I sure can't figure out how to access it from their website).

Sometimes I can hunt down the probable songwriter of a song on All
Music Guide's website by looking at other recordings of the same song.
CDNow often used to have composer's names listed but CDNow got
swallowed up by Amazon.com; Amazon.com doesn't list songwriters. I
used to access song information from BMI and from the Harry Fox Agency
but I can no longer go to them. Does anyone know of any other good
websites for determining the composer of a song?
