Following crooked Ky fiddle tunes on the banjo is something I'd
thought impossible. But since I remember Walt playing Doc Watson
guitar stuff on banjo when still in his teens I shoulda known better.
It's been my most-listened to CD since it arrived. And Claire
Milliner is a remarkable fiddle player too. If you throw your channel
settings all the way over (right on my setup) the banjo comes through
at equal level with the fiddle and you can really hear what Walt's
playing. But I'm not even trying to learn that.

You'll love it - Clare's a great fiddler: clean and sweet with a visceral
edge. Walt is (imho) the most interesting living banjo player I've ever
heard. He's got a solid understanding of the old guys and unique vision
all his own. The way he combines melody, rhythm and harmony makes me
think of early blues guitar players.
