Can anyone help me on some lyrics to Fall On My Knees as played
by Tommy Jarrell
I'll fall on my knees, fall on my knees, fall on my knees
just for you little girl, fall on my knees just for you

wish that I had never been born, died when I was young
little girl, died when I was young.

Are these lyrics about right and are there a few more.??
The tune just knocks me out. Thanks, Bruce.

Is this the same song? Tommy plays the fiddle and sings
a song that has (in part) these lyrics:

If I get drunk, if I get drunk,
Let me fall, little darlin' on the ground.
On the ground, on the ground,
Just let me fall, little darlin' on the ground.

...Carry me home, carry me home,
Carry me home, little darlin', carry me home.

Wasn't he the greatest?? Old-time music really suffered a
great loss when Tommy Jarrell passed.

That's usually called "Let Me Fall." It's different than "Fall on My
Knees," which some people call "Lonesome Road" (not to be confused with
"Lonesome Rd. Blues" or "Going Down the Road Feeling Bad") and others
call "County Jail." Wonderful old tunes, both of them. All three of
them, come to think of it.

That song is Let Me Fall. Fall on My Knees goes:

Fall on my knees and pray to thee
Come stand around with me, little girl,
Come stand around with me.
etc.

For two good versions of F.O.M.K., try Bruce Molsky's "Warring Cats" and
The Renegades' "I Need to Find."

Sorry, I haven't been following this closely,
or I'd know what was going on.

Last night I came across "Fall On Your Knees" in a
song book. If the person who wanted the lyrics
still wants them, let me know, email prefered.

If this has already been answered, sorry about
taking up bandwidth.

In article <3pmahl$3rh$1...@mhadg.production.compuserve.com>, Sarah Bryan
<76255...@CompuServe.COM> says:

I'm not sure who made the original request for these lyrics. Saw it
last week. These are the one's I have:

FALL ON MY KNEES

I'll Fall On My Knees And Pray To You
To Come And Live With Me Little Girl
To Come And Live With Me

verse 2

Look Up Look Down That Long Lonesome Road
Before You Travel On Little Girl
Before You Travel On

verse 3

The Blackest Crow That Ever Flew
Would Surely Turn To White White
Would Surely Turn To White

verse 4

If Ever I Prove False To You
Day Would Turn To Night Night
Day Would Turn To Night

verse 5

I Wish To The Lord I'd Never Been Born
Or Died When I Was Young Young
Or Died When I Was Young

verse 6

I Never Will Forget Your Red Rosy Cheeks
Or Forget Your Lyin' Tongue Tongue
Forget You Lyin' Tongue

verse 7

You Told Me Once You Told Me Twice
You Told Me Ten Thousand Times Little Girl
You'll Never Get To Heaven When You Die
