The sad news has just come in.....that the legendary bluegrass artist
Charlie Waller passed away yesterday around 6:30pm.

Apparently Charlie was as alone in his garden picking squash just
prior to 'going on the road', taking take his bluegrass music to his
many fans, together with his band 'The Country Gentlemen', . His wife,
Sachiko, found Charlie unresponsive. Charlie's son Randy - a member of
'The Country Gentlemen', believes his father had either a heart attack
or an aneurysm. Autopsy results should be given today.
A long standing friend of Eddie Adcock, Charlie and his band were
scheduled to play at two special benefits benifits for Eddie - one in
Nashville on August 20 and the other on September 8 in Falls Church,
Virginia. Randy Waller stated that due to funeral arrangements they
will be unable to attend the August 20th benefit but is quoted as
saying "I will be at the September 8th benefit for Eddie because my
Dad would not have wanted me to miss the chance to help Eddie."

Please keep Charlie Waller's family and friends in your thoughts and
prayers....and if you would like to send cards and messages of
condolence, please send them to:
