What happened to the late (reasonably) great Record Trader store in Reseda, CA?

One of my favorite used <whatever music> haunts has been the Record
Trader, on Reseda Blvd., near Los Angeles. It was there last Xmas when
I visited (and had been there for years), but I just drove past last night
and it was GONE!!! Oh no...No signs telling what happened.

Did they move, or did they just go out of business?

Hope it's the former but worry it's the latter...

David, Maybe they went out of business cause folks only stopped by once a
year.

Hi David,
I went to the Los Angelas Record Store website. The site has been took over by
another party and admits to not keeping it current. The Record Trader is still
listed
on its old address.. However if you look at the site closer you will see
other vinyl
record stores are scheduled to close soon or at the end of their lease or
year... The
Record Trader is probably just another casualty of the times.. I live in
Michigan and I only know of several stores that are left in the whole
state......

Well, when you consider that this particular "folk" happens to live
across the country, how often would you expect I'd visit????

I actually visited more than once a WEEK when I lived in the LA area.

Well, actually I was kidding you, Dave. Point is though, a lot of us now
use the internet for buying used LP's and I doubt they got a lot of
visitors.

Hey You Know Who:

No prob...But the thing is, the Record Trader was ALWAYS busy. Which
is why I was surprised to find it gone...
