Greets -
I'm looking for a translation (Latin - English) of Mozart's "Requiem".
Could anyone either point me in the direction of a good reference book or
possibly transcribe it themselves from sleeve notes or another source and
post them or email them to me?
I'd certainly appreciate it. If you post/send the translation, could
you also cite your reference? Danke.

I'll be doing this from memory, so I can't really give you a reference.
Still, enclosed with almost every CD of Mozart's Requiem you'll find a booklet
with the latin text and a proper English translation. The translation given
here is not a literal one. Since, as I said, I reproduce this from memory, and
since English is not the language I normally speak, I cannot guarantee all written
here is entirely correct. Especially of Hostias I am not certain.
But it should give you an idea.

Requiem
-------
Eternal rest give unto them, o Lord, (Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine)
And may perpetual light shine upon them (Et lux perpetua luceat eis)
A hymn praise thee, o Lord, in Sion, (Te decet hymnus, Deus, in Sion)
And a vote shall be given to thee in Jerusalem (Et tibi votum reddetur in Jerusalem)
Hear my prayer (Exaudi orationem meam)
All flesh becometh thee (Ad te omnis caro veniet)
Eternal rest give unto them, o Lord, (Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine)
and may perpetual light shine upon them. (Et lux perpetua luceat eis)

All creation is awaking (Cum resurget creatura)
To it's judge an answer making (Judicanti responsura)
