Text and translation of Mozarts requiem

Hi there,

I am planning to make an accurate though poetical translation of de text
of the requiem, preferably the exact text used by Mozart.

Can anybody supply me with a translation in one of the languages English,
German, French or Dutch? The translations I want to make are in English
and Dutch.

Please, if you reply, send me also email, because I don't read this
newsgroup very often.

Most CDs of Requiem Masses (Mozart's and others) have the text in Latin
and English and some add German and/or French and/or Italian. Any full
price CD of the Mozart should give you the information you need.

... except for those of Faure and Durufle, who selected a Brahmsian kind
of comforting emphasis in their texts (no Dies irae here). Or Victoria,
who leaves the Sequenz out completely in his Officium defunctorum. Or
Mozart, who did not set the Libera me text.

I'm afraid Requiems are a bit more confusing than, say, Mass settings,
which usually are fairly uniform. It'll have to be a Mozart Requiem
recording, if you want the Mozart texts.

Mozart omits the Lux aeterna and Libera me included by many later
composers. Britten's War Requiem *is* the complete Requiem Mass but
has the poems of Wilfred Owen and others set in between sections of
the Latin text.

Here is part of the answer, the original text. On the www page I
found this there was a german translation, too. But I don't remember
where.
