A work out on its own, romantic, gothic, sung in 14th-century Italian,
e-ternal music for the new millennium - Jean-Patrick Capdevielle's
dark sequel to the Emma Shapplin-Carmine Meo album which notched up gold and
platinum sales worldwide.
Blossoming in the new musical vein he has forged, rock
singer-turned-composer Capdevielle has thrown away masks and aliases - he's
no longer even hiding behind his singers.
The original project has taken on a new stature. More than just a Volume
Two, Atylantos is to Carmine Meo what the butterfly is to its chrysalis, its
raison d'être.
Carmine Meo invented a style, Atylantos clothed it in legend.
The legend of Atlantis, a myth dating back to the dawn of civilisation, yet
more topical today than ever.
Now, as then, we pay for our happiness with the blood of others
And to bring this new musical world to life, Capdevielle picked four
exciting new opera talents with the courage to explore Atylantos's
ground-breaking horizons.
Chiara Zeffirelli, Jade Laura d'Angelis, Elena Cojocaru and Nikola
Todorovitch have risen to the Atylantos CD challenge, soon they'll be doing
the same on stage.
