Not classical music but beautiful, isn't it?

You've got to be kidding. What banal singing to banal music. I would much rather hear Over Vijf en Twintig Jaar, or Overal Waar de Meisjes Zijn.

OK OK, my perception was influenced by a recent viewing of the film _Goodfellas_, which has a lot of sentimental tunes in its soundtrack. But no context could ever make me appreciate the two absolutely horrible Dutch songs you mentioned (they were already old-fashioned in the 1960s, when I was a child), so I'm afraid I have to admit that you have made your point rather effectively!

In article <cd17610b-9d81-41e7...@googlegroups.com>,
Coincidentally, our local radio talk show ran a call in feature
yesterday on the worst song ever, with Debbie Boone's "You Light up My
Life" being the winner. I would personally nominate Bobby Goldsboro's
"Honey."

Not even the worst song that was a hit. Too many too mention.

While I'm at it (posting non-classical music here):

I saw another film ("Io e te", Bernardo Bertolucci, 2012),
featuring a 1969 recording of David Bowie singing in Italian.

I like it!
