Hi Randy,

Thanks for the post. I just ordered it,and the shipping charges are
only 3 Euros = quite reasonable. Amazon.de is a great place, with an
excellent refund/replacement policy.

Where's the list of contents of the 14 discs? I found this hard to google - just came up with this:

It appears that the contents have all been issued numerous times on Olympia, Alto, Regis, etc. Except for the Bach, which looks to be the WTC that was issued on RCA CD.

That WTC, which was issued on Eurodisc LPs among others, received its
best digital transfer for the release actually billed as "Eurodisc." So
yeah, the same performance as RCA. The Eurodisc LPs, btw, sound great.

Thanks, Steve.

The Brahms, incidentally, was previously issued on a JVC CD. The rest, other than the Brahms, was indeed issued on Olympia/Regis/Alto.

Regis, as you know, being a recent source for a lot of things issued
previously by Olympia, which were sourced from Melodiya. And you're
totally right -- I have Olympia releases for almost all of these.

If I'd bothered to look -- the packaging for the WTC in the new issue is
exactly the same as in the "Eurodisc" transfer mentioned above.

This set seems to be a subset of the Eurodisc recordings from the past, and as mentioned earlier most of these works can be on Olympia/Regis etc.

The list of works can be found here:
http://pianistdiscography.com/discography/pianistLabel.php?cdnum=3347&labRich=172&PIANIST=1

It looks like the one of the best chances though to get the following works, if you do not own the original Eurodisc releases:

Salzburg, 1971
Brahms
Op. 118.1
Op. 118.3
Op. 118.6
September 26, 1971 in Salzburg
Schubert
D. 935.2

The rest appears to be pretty common unless of course you missed out on the original olympia releases etc.

Amazon MarketPlace Seller Dodax is offering this for $24 USD right now, considerably less than it has been selling for since it first appeared.

I ordered it - Was not going to pay $40+, but this price for 14 CDs, of which I only own a few already, is more reasonable IMHO.

Excellent recordings regarding performance and sound. Although I had
some of them scattered in single CDs, it is nice to have them all in one
box.

With shipping, though, it comes to $42. Practically the same
as if you are an Amazon Prime member.

Sony owns Eurodisc; has or a while. In my Davd Geringas Eurodisc box, they've replicated the original labels, and full size, not that silly-looking trinket-size label with fake grooves that ruins the delight of having original labels on nearly all of the Sony Original Jackets series. I wonder which this one will do.

Dodax.com that is.
But dodax.nl is not sold out:

(22 Euros, no shipping costs - but I don't know if it is possible to order
there from overseas)
