I'm sure I'm not the only one who has experienced crashes.freezes, and
too many "Well this is embarrassing" screens, with the newest version
of Firefox. It really sucks,so until they fix it,or until Google comes
out with a browser for Macs,I'm stuck with Safari.

What I was wondering is if there is a Safari app,for usenet/Google
groups that does what Killfile does in Firefox.

Thanks,
Roger

If you are willing to give up google and subscribe to a news server,
Unison works great on a Mac with full killfile capability.

You are not alone. The bloated Firefox has become like Netscape, only
less stable.

The right alternative is to read Usenet with a newsreader app. Then you
can set up exactly the killfiles you want. (For the Mac, the superb,
free "Multi-Threaded Newswatcher."

There are also good alternative browsers available for the Mac.
Including Camino, which is like earlier releases of Firefox but also
stabler than they are. And the extremely fast OmniWeb. I don't know
about killfiling options.
