It must have been later on that Lawrence Welk hired Frank Scott who
played a 2-manual Neupert harpsichord on the show. He recorded an
album during those years for Capital.

Before. PBS played a show from about 1966,last night. And the Lennon
sisters sang Georgy Girl. Frank Scott was on that show. Maybe it was
Frank Scott on Calcutta.

Norma Zimmer sings like an old cow. She butchered, "I Didn't Know What
Time it Was"

Most of the show is prerecorded. Charlie Pride sang live on last
night's show.

Sandi, the red haired girl from Brigham Young University is the only
one who is not a vibrato looking for a voice. She always sang lead in
a trio or quartet. I think last night show was too early for her. The
absolute worst singer Welk hired, besides Zimmer, was Kathy Sullivan.

Arthur Duncan dances from the waist down and half the times he looks
like is going to fall down. Bobby Burgesss is a great dancer . Much
better than his three partners. Mary Lou Metzger and Jack Emmel were a
good dance team.

Do you realize that's the "Champagne Lady" you're talking about -
watch out!

Why am I thinking of Bobby Breen - the tall, skinny good looking one
who was previously on The Disney Mickey Mouse Club? I must be
confusing 2 different people.

And what about the very talented Jo-Ann Castle, the pianist?

Jo-Ann Castle showed a lot of technique but at the expense of Music.
But I think the same of Art Tatum. Big Tiny Little was much better

Bobby Burgess was a mousketeer

For some reason I like Joe Feeney
