Never heard his later Pictures; I wonder if his late, weighty manner adds anything to the piece. It's not like there is a lot of "depth" to be gained there.
Never heard the LSO Beethoven symphonies either. He also recorded the 6th in LA, which is a favorite 6th of mine.
