HI everyone,

Tomorrow I will leave to Budapest where I will stay for four days.

Does anybody know any Classical music shop where I can eventually find
cd's ?

Please let me know

Thank you very much

The Hungaroton shop, on Rottenbiller Utca. Very expensive, though, as
there's quite a high luxury tax on CDs in the country (unlike live
performance, which is fantastically cheap - personally I think they've
got it right!)

Department - and big book - stores will also have good classical
departments, where you'll find out of print stuff at cheaper prices.

There are also market CD stalls around the main tourist square near the
river.

There's also the very picturesque Rozsavolgyi at 5 Szervita ter,
Budapest 1052 (a website I found said 10am-7pm, Mon-Fri; 10am-5pm Sat;
10am-6pm Sun; tel 318 3312).

And I'm having a total mental blank about the quite impressive
collector's shop near the famous Synagogue... oh yes, Concerto: 33 Dob
utca, Budapest 1074, tel 268-9631.

There's what looks like a very comprehensive list here:
