"Madrid's International Festival of Sacred Art (FIAS) offers a uniquely
diverse program at various venues across the Spanish capital every year.
An opportunity to enjoy the work of high profile artists as well as new
names, works and various other performances. El Gran Teatro del Mundo
opens the festival with a French composer: Marc-Antoine Charpentier."

Enjoy!

Anyone interested in French baroque music? Lully, Charpentier, Campra,
Rameau, Couperin, others? Recommendations?

My choice for today: Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Histoires sacrées. Ensemble
Correspondances, Sébastien Daucé. Harmonia Mundi (2CD + DVD)

One of greatest gifts that the musical world has received from the HIP movement has been the blossoming of a new interest in the French Baroque, and what a treasure house it is. Now that we have Arte and You Tube, we can see and hear so many fine performances of music by these great composers with the sonorities that they wrote for. I'd suggest further Henri Dumont, Michel Richard Delalande (or de Lalande) and Étienne Moulini'e.

For Du Mont (or Dument) see <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nuDHIBfkpE&t=3678s>
