haydnh ... You wrote that "There are copyright claims on the music itself at times but not on the actual recording posted." Actually, if you check "Show more" again, it is precisely a fraudulent claim on the actual Sound Dynamics recording that has been made. In fact, there are now two such claims!
The first is just for the 2nd mvt "Il Giubileo" which Naxos, on behalf of Chandos Records, is claiming comes from the CD of all three Roman Tone Poems conducted by Tortelier. The second claim is for the 3rd mvt " L' Ottorbrata" and in that case the conductor is named as Zubin Mehta, with Sony Music making the copyright claim on behalf of RCA Red Seal! ... The words "Licensed to YouTube" in each case means that these claims are being "monetized" and each company will receive royalties on a recording neither of them have anything to with.
Of course, in such cases the genuine uploader needn't do anything, as the video as there for all to see and hear, but just let YouTube fork out royalty payments on the strength of erroneous claims. The alternative is to "dispute" them but even then there is no guarantee that the dispute will be accepted. Incidentally, I'm not sure anyone can claim copyright on Respighi's music either. Under the 70-year copyright expiry rule for composers' works, his music went into the public domain in 2006, 70 years after his death in 1936.
