Some time in the early to mid 1970s this pianist's Emperor Concerto was
issued on a bargain basement LP label. If I recall correctly it was sold
only through Woolworths in the UK.

I seem to recall that other LPs followed to complete the LVB cycle.

The orchestra was, I think, the Nuremberg SO conducted by Rato Tschupp.
Tschupp died in 2002 in Switzerland.

I looked on Amazon and see that some piano solos and the first piano
concerto by Liszt were issued on Zyx but nothing else. I also googled
Nakajima's name to no effect.

Does anyone recall anything about those LPs or about her life and
musical/recording activities since?

At the time they came out Gramophone and the BBC sang her praises (not sure
what the US and German and Japanese mags made of them) - for a while those
LPs were quite a phenomenon. Were they ever reissued on CD?

She was the first person to make an LP recording of the *complete* set
of Schubert Piano Sonatas. I mean the *complete set of 21 Sonatas*,
Paul Badura-Skoda Edition.
