Works of Marie Jaell ( 1853-1925 ) , a recent discovery.

“ 18 Pièces pour piano d'après la lecture de Dante.” Pianist Cora Irsen,WDR cd.I suspect influenced by Jaell's time with Liszt and his impressionistic, more spartan late solo piano works, but her own manner and style, almost Minimalist at times:

Cello Sonata is also impressive, here Lisa Erbes, cello,Lara Erbes, piano, a Solstice cd:

Piano Concerto No.2 ( the better of her two,IMHO ) :

Cello Concerto , very brief , but very nice “ palette cleanser “:

David Violi, pianist PC No.2, Cello Concerto Xavier Phillips, cellist, Brussels Philharmonic under Herve Niquet,National Orchestra of Lille,Joseph Swenson, label Ediciones Singulares .

Per BBC, the first pianist (except perhaps Liszt ? ) to present all Liszt's works in recitals.

And apparently the first pianist to perform in Paris, in public, all the Beethoven piano sonatas.

In any event, I have ordered the "18 Pieces" cd on YT , the one work of hers to hear if you're hearing only one.Striking composition, especially since reportedly composed in 1894.
