Does anyone know where I might be able to find a recording of this cycle? I have Das Rheingold and Die Walkure but am looking to complete the set. I'm surprised this hasn't been released on Orfeo or some legit production from the radio broadcasts.
Thanks,
Bob

Not sure about the 1953 Keilberth, but this is the same year, same
cast, with Clemens Krauss:
With those two currently available, it's not hard to understand why
companies aren't eager to issue the 1953 Keilberth.

The Andromeda set is the current cd edition, but like many others of Keilberth's ring, it miakenly uses the act 1 of Siegfried from the same year's Krauss ring, with Windgassen fluffing the forging song. It was only issued correctly once, on an Allegro lp I believe.

And the Allegro LPs were pretty bad, in so many ways. I used to own the
whole thing.

Did Windgassen ever NOT flub the forging song live? Every performance
I've heard of him live at Bayreuth he rushed into oblivion.

Culshaw talks about Windgassen's habit of singing ahead of the beat
- considering Bohms hit and run conducting in the mid 60s Ring, I'm
surprised it was a problem. Wagner Fan

is the right version of the act in the Melodram LP set from 1953 of the Keilberth Ring?
