A couple obscure pianists in rare recordings.
Katherine Bacon ( 1896 - 1982 ) , live at Juilliard, 1952 , appears to have been a strong-willed artist with her own ideas, fine tone ( even at 192 kbps),formidable technique ( despite a couple glitches in the Chopin Scherzo ), and broad repertoire. Per the IPAM site , she did a couple complete Beethoven sonata cycles. Only 4 recordings at IPAM, apparently all live.

Apparently a Hindemith specialist, there is at the Juilliard site another live recital I have not heard in which she plays his 2nd Piano Sonata and “ Ludus Tonalis “ . One of my fav LvB sonatas, and a couple works new to me, dictated my choice of this recital. All very fine , especially the Prokofieff.Technique to toss off the Dohnanyi.
