Has anyone heard of Sanchez guitars before? I'm in the market for a new
classical guitar and I happened to see the Sanchez brand of classical guitar
at a local music store. The salesman told me it was a very fine spanish made
instrument, but I'm a little curious about the reputation and quality of
this particular guitar maker. If someone could shed a little light on this
subject, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you mean Vincente Sanchis (I'm not absolutely sure of the spelling), then
they are OK. They make guitars at the cheap end of the market - probably OK
for a beginner but not really suitable for more advanced players. My first
guitar was a Vincente Sanchis model 28 if I recall.

To my knowledge, Sanchez should be the brand name of Ricardo Sanchis who
make guitars in very small shop somewhere in Spain. He is also related
to more famous Vincente Sanchis, who uses Sanchis brand. I've seen both
Sanchis on the web so try some searching. Also I've heard about Korean
factory made Sanchez guitars, so be careful. Use your ears, your eyes
and your hands. Bring someone experienced with you.

Good luck
