Speed or slowness in musical playing are the reflex of our temperament and
of our mental dynamism; but comfidence, strenght, independence and
expressive touch being suceptible developpement through assiduous practice
of exercices conceived for that goal, the player must care for these
qualities to transmit them to the strings, with the help of his fingers,
with the same ease as words come to the lips through the simple process of
thinking and volition.
