I think the fingerboard is wrong on this guitar.

The seller seems kind of fishy. It's always suspicious when a seller
that hasn't sold anything for a while reappears with a group of high
dollar items. Caution is warranted.

It says "The guitar is restored." Perhaps that explains this.

well there are many problems - it could very well "be" a lacote but it doesnt look like a lacote to me - where is the label? - for 18 grand i would want some provenance on this - i have all the papers on my lacote - even WITH a label you need some history of the instrument to make it worth the money if its just an old guitar then the value might very easily be well under 10 grand

I'm no expert, but it looks like it was restored using a new guitar.

There is a photo of the label, if you click through to the flickr page. However, the label is in the same impeccable condition as the rest of the guitar.

The auction says the guitar is located in Madrid, Spain. Maybe there's
a good luthier who could look at it in person. Think there are any good
builders in Spain?

I will post that on a group about romantic guitars, yes looks suspicious to me too! Like the Hauser a guy was trying to sale some time ago, the funiest part was he changed finally his add saying that some "experts" denied it was a Hauser but he was convince of the contrary, one of the Expert (contacted by me) was Herman Hauser 3... Some people never changes...
