Check out:

Baroque Inventions
Julian Gray & Ronald Pearl - Classical Guitar Duo
Dorian Recordings - DOR 90209

Includes 6 Scarlatti Sonatas, some Handel, and Bach's 5th French Suite

I highly recommend this recording.

Manuel Barrueco's "300 Years of Guitar Masterpieces" has five of the
Scarlatti
sonatas on it. It's a pretty widely available CD. VoxBox3 CD3X 3007

Also, if you have any use for Scarlatti on MIDI, the Classical Guitar
MIDI Archives
has all 555 Scarlatti sonatas on it in MIDI format. Now that must have
been a project!
It's at:

Good luck!

John Williams' "Guitar Recital" CD also has five Scarlatti sonatas on
it (iirc). I don't know if they're the same five.

Narciso Yepes has an album of Scarlatti:

Title: Domenico Scarlatti: Sonaten [12 sonatas]
Publisher: Deutsche Grammophon
Catalog no.: 413 783-2
Format: CD [DDD]
Published: 1985
Total time: 46' 56"

John Duarte has published his editions of some of Scarlatti's sonatas
through Universal Editions. Catalog numbers: UE 29159, UE 29179, UE
29158, UE 29149 and UE 29171

Carlos Barbosa Lima has also edited some sonatas & published them
through Columbia Music Co. Catalog number: CO-198 & CO-198 A & others.

Alice Artzt has also edited a sonata thru Columbia: Catalog number:
494-00309.

Obviously there are quite a few editions for you to try. You might want
to contact some large music distributors for more information.

Jamey Bellizzi has released a new book entitled, "30 Sonatas for
Guitar by Scarlotti, edited by Jamey Bellizzi. I spoke with Mr.
Bellizzi and he tells me he recorded a CD to accompany the book and
that both are available through Mel Bay Publications.(1-800-863-5229)

Hope this helps,

K 531 L 430 E
K 54 L 241 a
K 9 L 413 d ("Pastorale")
K 432 L 288 G

While browsing the CD section of Borders' Books and Music I came
across another CD re Scarlatti. The CD is entitled, "Sonatas by D.
Scarlatti" as performed by the Groniger Guitar Duo; Remco De Haan &
Erik Westerhof, recorded on the Ottavo label, The Hague, Netherlands,
Copyright 1994. The twelve selections are: K252, K253, K380, K213,
K141, K27, K9, K87, K190, K298, K208 and K209.

There you are,...... Hope you can use it.

Best regards,
Kevin Woods

Actually, the correct name is Groninger Guitar Duo.(Groningen is a city
in the northern part of the Netherlands.)

Something slightly off-topic, but worth mentioning:
The Groninger Guitar Duo also recorded a very nice CD called 'Danzas
Espagnolas', with, among other pieces, the Spanish Dances by Granados.
Unfortunately, I don't know the CD-label or number. But I am very
impressed by these two guys. It's worth trying to get one of their
recordings.
(Excuse me if this sounds a bit too much like a commercial message. I
just wanted to share my enthusiasm with you all)

Hesther.

In addition to Yepes, Fisk, et al, Stephan Schmidt and Rachael Gauk
have CD's devoted to Scarlatti sonatas.

As for sheet music, Fisk, Tannenbaum, Brouwer, Duarte, and
Barbosa-Lima have all published transcriptions.
