Hey, during the Clinton administration there was a time when 60% of
people said the House should impeach the President, and 60% said the
Senate shouldn't try him.
I was having dinner with my son, who was running a marina on Lake
Travis, up close to where the Pedernales River runs in. I asked him to
explain the polls.
"Oh, that's easy," he said. "When I'm at the cash register I stand in
front of a sign that's four feet high and six feet wide. It says 'Beer
$4.00 a Six-Pack'. Forty percent of the people walk up to me and say,
'Uhhh, whaddya get fer beer?' "
