Things a little quiet here on r.m.c.c., so can I ask;
Does anyone listen to this yearly event, through
their state's radio broadcaster ?
Does anyone have any positive feedback, regarding
composers or recent works ?
I hope the programme hasn't sunk into obscurity, as it
seems to have had a proud history.
I also hope the member countries are broadcasting
sufficient of each years programmes. It'd be wonderful
to be able to access the current year's programme
through the internet - although I doubt that's possible.
Sadly, my country has no state radio broadcaster, unless you count
NPR. As far as I know, NPR has only news and commentary since about
1977, which was when I stopped listening to it.

Australia's ABCFM covers some yearly IRoC well, but not
regularly or consistently. In my time there, the
great success was in hearing the lesser known or
more diverse works.
I'm an eager listener and quite well served by the Swedish Broadcasting
Corporation. This year we got to hear 3 programs of 90 minutes duration
each! I enjoyed most of the pieces.

Nice going in Sweden! As I mentioned, its a rare
and perhaps the only mechanism for hearing recent
orchestral and other works on an international ..
playing field. Introduce us to new composers, or
hear recent works from the established. Wonderful.
