I looked for that one but couldn't spot it with my non-graphic
interface. Looks like an interesting page though. I would think
that the most important message for the church today is this:

Do the fruits of your life keep with "good religion", and
"when the son of man returns, will he find faith?". I think
the "message" will clearly unfold when we ask ourselves those
questions. Read the song called "did they" on my home page
http://www.efn.org/~baw and see if we have a similar idea of
what the most important message to the church is today. Also,
let me know a more direct path to the message on your page if
you would. I'll try to give it a closer look later. I'd like
to be able to add a pointer to it from my page. -Bob

What is the excellent question to:
"Nude" pantyhose and a tube of Aspercreme?

Oh. Am I going to Hell because I care more about
he question above?

I thought that was:

"Don't light up near Benny. We wouldn't want
an unfortunate accident. He's so annointed that
if his hair catches fire the rest of his body will
burn for days."

There is no bloody rapture. No one knows for sure that

who cares what they have to say?

I don't know, Brain, but...

Nahhhh. If there had been any mention of lycra, though, you would be in
immediate danger of being stuck in purgatory for several weeks.

Har har har.

Actually, the most amusing thing about this thread so far is that I
misread the title when I opened it... 'ANTICHRIST DEFENDED' was what my
eye caught, thanks to those darn all-caps. "Wha? Goat's back?"

Just curious, if there is no rapture, what is your explanation for what is
described in 1 Thess. 4:17? Like I said, I'm just soliciting your
opinion...I'm no eschatologist.

It's a great one. I would say the most important for today's church is
still "...therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
(Matt. 28:19). "Give to the poor" would then follow, assuming of course
that it's done in real faith (faith as described in James 2).

Attempting to understand and explain what the Bible says about the End
Times is no unworthy pursuit, but I would agree that there are far too many
misguided and unqualified persons spending far too much time, and coming up
with crazy opinions that they treat as fact.

The problem with that quote is that it is taken out of context.
The topic is not some future date, but the present. It talks about those
who die will be with Jesus and the Jesus himself will descend to take
them. In other words, if we believe Jesus died and rose again, we should
have faith that the same will happen to us.

Mike,

I appreciate your response, but I'm having trouble seeing this. No
matter how I read the surrounding context, it appears that a
differentiation between two different groups of people is being made. That
is, those who have died, those who are still alive, but all who will go to
be with Christ.
