Are there christian bands in Ireland, Scotland or England?
We like to have more bands in our Flevofestival, which is the dutch Greenbelt-
like festival, from nearby. It seems that all good gospel comes from the USA
nowadays and I refuse to believe that. Please confirm my belief and mail or
folow up, because IMHO there have to be fantastic bands in you beautifull
countries, and we like to see them all!!

How about Scandinavian artists? To name a few:
Charlotte Ho"glund (S)
Per Ho"glund (S)
Laila Dahl (S)
Brother 2 Brother (DK)
Nina Aastro"m (SF)
Carola So"gaard (S)
Sissel Kyrkjebo/ (N)
Sigvart Dagsland (N)
Frank Aadahl (S)
XT (S)
Elsebeth Nolso/e-Lund (DK) (former member of Brother 2 Brother)
and many more...

Some of them might even sing in English. But should they? Isn't especially
Swedish one of the best languages to sing in?

" Iona " spring to mind immediately they're very Celtic all over
actually. Three albums to date.
Iona
Book Of Kells
and Far from these shores.

" Eden Burning " fusion of English and Celtic Folk, with an edge.

current Album is Smilingly Home and is IMHO excellent.

" The Electrics " again Folky with a good rock edge.

There are more including Rodney Cordner, and Little Black Train.

Unless you meant Irish/English/Scottish in a Geopolitical way as
opposed to a Cultural way, in which case the list would be very long.

The Christian Music Scene in Ireland is at the moment beginning to become
apparent in the secular scene in general. This is at the moment
crossing the dividing line between sacred and secular, only in the
process to discover that there wasn't one to begin with.

I'll mail you a full list and breakdown from my DB if you'd like.

While I'm not certain I'd describe them as 'brilliant' I will confirm
that Iona's two sets at Greenbelt last year were amongst the best I saw.
