Has Cynthia Clawson sung the hymn "Softly and Tenderly" on any of her
CDs? I know it is in the movie "The Trip to Bountiful".... Also, the
store I went to looked up her available CDs, but the computer did not show
which songs were on the CDs. I think one of the CDs was called "I
Surrender All." Can somebody who has this CD tell me which songs are on
it? Please reply to fl...@lorien.sdsu.edu or fl...@cse.ucsc.edu.
Thanks.

It's on the "Immortal" album, which I think is still in print.

* Called mom (Cynthia's #1 Fan). She confirmed that "Softly and
Tenderly" is on the album "Immortal" (Word 1986).

* Never heard of a CD called "I Surrender All". Cynthia has recorded
an album of hymns (called "Hymnsinger") and generally puts a hymn
or two on each of her other albums.

* Mom likes vicariously surfing the 'net and says "You're welcome".
She's also tickled pink that there's some new (or renewed) interest
in Cynthia. ;-)

But Brendt, we've been here all along! (We just keep a low profile to
keep out of the way of the Mega-Metal crowd. If Cynthia would only
punk her hair purple and get a nose ring, we could be acceptable too...)
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) <-- extra smilies mean "OF COURSE, I'm kidding!"

Steve Perkins,
Patiently awaiting Steve Green's first acid rock offering....

By the way, I think "Softly and Tenderly" is also on one of Cynthia's
REALLY OLD (as in out-of-print) albums called "In the Garden" or
"The Garden" or something like that. I have it on LP!
