Sorry to say, but Jesus was just a publicity hound who faked his tack-up
on that Home Depot cross. He hired a look-alike drunk to take his
place, and he laughed all the way to the bank.
X-tian music plays off this same deception that began when the J-Man
formed his silly little religion way back in B.C. (Before
Commercialism).
Amy Grant and her ilk promote the sick lie that buying X-tian music gets
you into Heaven. We should boycott her and her tuneless sisters until
they stop turning out mindless drivel that sings the praises of the
Stupidist Saviour of all time.

Apparently you know what honors Jesus and what doesnđt. Could you please
explain to me? But it would seem on reading further in your post that you
consider trying to honor Jesus worthless anyway.

On what grounds do you say this? Is it a reaction to someone religious in
your life past or present who has turned out to be a fake? The theory
about having a substitute on the cross has been around for a long time,
and a very interesting one at that.

Could you please supply some documentation for this claim about buying
product getting one to heaven? What exactly qualifies Jesus as the
ģStupidist Savior of all time?ē

Are all religious people numbskulls, or are you just going to reseverve
this title for those who claim to adhere to Christianity? What about the
Buddhist, Hindu, or Moslem? What about those who worship themselves as the
revelator and originator of morality and truth?

while it's interesting to read this silly stuff, it gives me
pause to consider... any of us who post to this newsgroup
obviously have some extra time on our hands, which we channel
here in this outlet. that's good. communication is a fine
thing. people like -this-, however, obviously have a vast
wealth of free time the likes of which i could only dream,
and should perhaps consider an additional hobby such as
macrame or weedwhacking.

I am worshipping God while listing to some of this Christian music; I would
not specifically listen to it.
If the artists are preying on me to make money, they I am preying on them to
worship God and I am just as guilty of opportunism as they.
There are artists whom I don't think really know God, and I don't buy their
stuff.
There are no works that can get us into heaven. Only relationship with God
can give us this opportunity. If Christian music enhances my relationship
with God; I'll overdose on it.
