I see that Pauline Wilson has a new album out on Noteworthy Records
called "Intuition" but it looks like there aren't any Christian references.
I heard a rumor that she and Bob Wilson divorced. Is this true, and
if so has either of them given up the Christian faith?
Thanks...

Yep Seawind was a great band. They were believers on a mainstream label
back before Amy, Michael, KT, Jars of Almighty Clay, and Sixpence. They
were that kind of funk-fusion thing like Passage, a short lived band
featuring Louis of the Brothers Johnson (speaking of albums I'd like to
see on cd...).

Pauline has been doing guest vocal work with jazz bands--and maybe some
solo stuff as well--for years. I have not noticed any specifically
religious references in the stuff I've heard, but I can't say it's been
contrary to spirituality.

Facts being facts, as I remember it, yes, the Wilsons did split. Pauline,
you've got the info on... Bob went on to form The Front, who recorded for
Benson if my memory serves, with Tommy Funderburk(sp) and others. They,
along with other members of The Front possibly, became What If? who
recorded for RCA, IIRC. What If? hit the scene almost immediately behind
Mr. Mister (may they rest in eternal bliss) was riding high. Things I
read indicated that RCA had originally held hopes of What If? doing the
Mr. Mister thing.
Lots of people have divorced and not given up on the faith:
Amy Grant
Gary Chapman
Reba Rambo
Benny Hester
Bob Bennett
Michelle Pillar
Larry Carlton
Randy Stonehill
Larry Norman
Sheila Walsh
Gene Eugen (R.I.P.)
Mike Roe
Sandi Patti
and even Richard Roberts and others
I don't know about you, but God has used these people, even after divorce,
to speak into my life.
Well, except Sandi Patti and Richard Roberts. <G>
