Strang'r Pilgr'm, a quickly evolving band of radical brothers and
sisters from Bozeman, MT. They've been together for a couple of
years, and have been getting quite a few secular gigs, though the
"churches" don't seem to like them all that much....(or "schismo-ships"
as the lead vocalist refers to them). They sing a lot of really
middle of the road songs like "Shut-up and serve God", "Flippin' Schismo",
"Does your church impress God"....:-) Well, maybe not quite middle of
the road....perhaps jumping the road across the median would be a better
description.
They are just getting a demo completed. We are going to try and set
up some gigs back here in Oregon for them in the next few months. If
you are interested, try calling 406-585-8423, 586-7218 or 585-0271. I
hope we'll be able to set up a home page for them when I do mine...soon.

Both of these artists can be contacted through the Light Music
TV show. (e.g. Tom Green)

Two very good friends of mine, they are far from being unsigned.

Denise works with Integrity/Hosanna and does praise and worship seminars
and concerts around the country. Her church, Covenant Church of
Pittsburgh, has just released "Live Worship with Joseph Garlington." The
album features songs mostly written by Denise. She plays keyboards and
sings throughout the album. It's available on Maranatha Records.

Bill Taylor is working on a solo project. If you want his excellent
Christmas album, "B.E. Taylor Christmas," check National Record Marts in
the tri-state area, or mail me. It's on Crishae Records.

B.E. and Denise are both members of the LIGHTMUSIC Band.

Peace,

Rose

Charter member: The Little Sisters of the Monastic Order of R.M.C.

the HopeScope is a band from California, I saw them at a club open up
for Johnny Q. Public. They were amazing. The guitar player can really
jam. It isn't really fair but I know him, he works at the University
with me. But they should really be signed.

The original post asked for how to contact them and I think their e-mail
address is: hope...@aol.com

Anyway, that's my two cents.

God Bless,

CQ

Denise has been working on an album for quite awhile now. It's being
produced by Ricky Dickerson, LIGHTMUSIC Band drummer who also plays on
occassion for James Ward and Kathy Troccoli.

His Christmas album is very good. Contemporary, well-produced, and the
album photos aren't bad either. ;^)

Yeah. :)

That's my dear friend, Rose Somma Tennent, LIGHTMUSIC associate producer.
I'm "The Other Rose," who writes for Expression and is the LIGHTMUSIC
photographer. People confuse us all the time. I'm much better looking.
JOKE, RST!!! ;^) :D

That would probably be Five Iron Frenzy, a skacore band from Denver. Any band
that does hardcore covers of Amy Grant songs is along with their own
originals is okay with me... And I don't know if they're signed or not - they
probably are by now, but Staveacre is awesome, too. That would be Jeff Bellew
and Mark Salomon's new band (from the Crucified). Check 'em out!

I used to play bass in Shekinah with Denise and Vince Boggs.

I'm wondering when We can see a solo project from Denise. The
last time I saw her sing was on TV, The National Anthem for a
Pirates game. <g>

I've been anxiously awaiting something new from B.E. Taylor since
his last secular release.

I do get to see them both on LightMusic.

Marc

P.S.
Rose, I'm really amused that you are on Quinn, in the Morning
(WRRK). You've got your work cut out for you! ;-) He may get
saved yet.

Solomon Grundy in Ft. Lauderdale is awesome, but I don't know if they're
still around.

Fave would have to be Jason Harrod and Brian Funck. They're the best...
