I saw them play at Va Tech in front of the Diequick^D^D^D^D^D^D^Deitrich
dining hall back when I was a sophmore there.. would have been like '92,'93
depending on whether spring or fall. I liked their music; bought a tape then,
ordered another later, then lost track of their address and such for a while.
The other day I saw a CD of their's in a local store called "Sign of the Fish",
looked in the local Zondervan's and saw one there too. Checked out True Tunes,
one there. Looks like they are finally getting some distribution. The song list
included some songs I've already got on the tapes: Mercy Me, Wonderfull World
were two of them.
Has out there gotten the CD, and can you comment on whether these are remixes,
live versions, the originals, or what? How much of the CD is new material,
how much from past EPs? (if you're really energetic, a song list with copyright
dates would be cool:))
Oh, BTW, the CD had a url on it, which I tried but didn't get the lookup on.
Must have remembered it wrong. Anyone know the proper web address?

I was fortunate enough to get a copy of "Laugh, Cry, Pray" from a friend a
couple years back. It's a "compositional" CD (their words). Which means
it's kind of like a "best of.." without having to have already had any
hits.
They've included a lot of different effects on the album, including some
poetry readings. Anyway... there isn't a web address on the CD. But
there is a booking/merchandising/information address:
Say-So
10907 Magnolia Blvd. #419
N. Hollywood, CA 91601
The album was released in 1994. It includes Mercy Me, Hurry Jane, Mary be
Merry, Wonderful World... 15 tracks in all.
Hope that helps...

Oh so funny you should ask, Ginzy. It just so happens Say-So (yes,
otherwise known as Jim and Kim Thomas) just released their self-titled
label debut on Organic Records. None of the songs you listed are on the
disc, but if you're into a sort of power pop/folk fusion, wrapped up with
Kim's distinct vocals, you're going to love this record.
You're welcome, Jay.

"Break Through", "Christmas This Year", "Celebration" and "Say-so".
Let me know any info especially music news, Thanks.<
Say-So has just released a new CD on Organic Records
<www.organicrecords.com> There is also an article about them on page 40
of the May issue of CCM Magazine.

Yes indeed Ginzy, the very same SAY-SO that you are speaking of are indeed
the "new" (to most) modern pop duo featured in this month's CCM and 7ball
magazines. After the aforementioned recording, Kim and Jim proceeded to
move to Nashville and establish themselves as a full-time touring group.
Highlights over the next several years included being named "Best Local
Pop Band"--1990 Nashville Scene, 1994's custom CD, "Laugh, Cry, Pray"
(co-produced by Charlie Peacock), and being named "Best Contemporary Music
Act" in both 1995 and '96 by Campus Activities Today magazine, in response
to SAY-SO's reputation on the mainstream college circuit.
In addition to her focus on music, Kim Thomas is a widely-acclaimed poet
and painter. You may have noticed the album cover to Sixpence None the
Richer's THIS BEAUTIFUL MESS, which Kim painted. Kim also painted the
artwork featured on the cover of SAY-SO's self-titled label debut--now in
stores.
A rabid SAY-SO fan since '92,
