Yes, I'll have to agree with the low quality of Real Videos. I can't
really criticize (sp.?) them for not playing 'my type of music' but I agree
with how the segues (sp.?) are VERY lacking! As far as having a Christian
stand point, all they do is some little bleep at the end. And I agree on the
second part, that they are dumb!! And how 'bout them snazzy graphic at the
beggining intro!!! IMO it gives Christin Vidoes a bad reputation.
Gee, could it be that Matt has no talent and just got the job cuz' of Dad?
Do any of you know of shows that play regularly Heavy Metal videos? I
know that Ztv has a section of it, and I seem to remember it having a name
with the word "brimstone" in it. I think I could probably count the number
of christian videos that were harder than Petra on my fingers. I know that
deliverance has some videos as do angelica, whitecross, tourniquet and Tamplin.
Where are they to be seen?? Do I have to buy them out of Long's!!!

In my personal opinion, christian videos are showing to be just as
lame as how lame contemporary christian music has become.
Real Videos is a flat out joke, and ZTV is a bigger joke..
I say let's banish these idiots that are running these video shows,
and let some creative people take over. Like the people who run
the Cornerstone Festivals...Not sure if they could do better, but
at least you know that they know how to book some awesome performers.
It's like with two bands in particular...I'd love to see Scott
Albert of Brainchild direct his own Video for TailTale Crime.
I want to see some hardcore videos that will compete or out
do MTV's standards..Another group is Mortal...I believe they
could shoot an awesome video....
It really makes me depressed to see that a vast majority of the
mainstream christian community has this idea that the hardcore
alternative styles in music are not an acceptable style of
praising GOD...I believe this is 1994 not 1984...Or am I mistaken?
Let's get with the times and new trends in music people...

Well, I believe they were supposed to be shooting one for
'Rift' and they were going to try to get it on MTV. I'd love
to see that happen, as Mortal is one awesome group and 'Rift'
is one awesome song.

I want to add a plug for my favorite christian video show, LightMusic.
It's a daily 1/2 hour show hosted by Tom Green & made right here in
beautiful Pittsburgh, PA. (it's carried on several satellite & cable
networks, I think). Tom's intro's to the songs make a lot of sense, and
he plays good music. He occasionally gets away with playing a whole
show of hard rock or alternative music (4-6 videos).
If you can find it, watch it. I'm sure it will compare favorably with
whatever other christian video shows you've seen.
