You should buy Bruce Cockburn's new Christmas album called _Christmas_.
He does a Sam Phillips arrangement of "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" and Sam
sings backup on at least two tracks. Great album!!!!

I'd kill for any older T-Bone Burnett stuff. The oldest I've got is _The
Talking Animals_ and have never even seen the others available. But then,
this is Canada.

I'll see the price & availablity before I buy.. BC is not likely to
eclipse Mark Heard, T-Bone Burnett or Sam Phillips in my regard anytime
soon.

Your target is: "Interviews", a compilation CD of The Alpha Band. I think
the price was about Aus$30=US$20; I saw it today at Gaslight, didn't buy
it.

The rest of this post is a note of my experiences in finding T-Bone,
Sam Phillips, BC, and cheap CCM in general in our wonderful sunny city
of Melbourne. Out of town readers may wish to skip.

Burce Cockburn: Much the easiest, and in the main cheapest. Many of his
albums cost Aus$13; Humans (my favorite at the moment), The Trouble
With Normal, Inner City Front, Stealing Fire, and Dancing In The
Dragon's Jaws. JB HiFi in the city also have a little Amy Grant.
I haven't checked yet who carries the Christmas album here; nearly
all of his stuff is available here; try JB before Gaslight.

Sam Phillips: I got mine from Malcom Pryor. I just LURV Cruel
Inventions...

T-Bone Burnett: Criminal Under My Own Hat is Aus$28 in Collector's
Corner; Behind The Trap Door (warning: 25 minutes!) is Aus$25 at
Gaslight; the self-titled album has to be imported.

scan the discard bins at Gaslight for Spy Vs Spy's Trash The Planet
for Aus$10. The Chagall Guevaras, the Go West Young Man, and the Love
Is The Better Ways (Vince Ebo) have all gone (guess who got them?) but
I can't vouch for what else they may have. WARNING: They go for strange
promotions.

Other places for cheap CCM: Discard bins at Koorong Books, Keswick in
the city (eg. ADs Reconstructions on CD for Aus$14), and Word (Oakleigh
and Kilsyth).
