A couple I like:
Reverend Dan Smith - just keep goin' on
Sass o' Frass Tunic - As Blue as the State Allows
Kaiser, Mansfield - Trimmed and Burnin'
for a Stevie Ray Vaughn sound
Chris Lizotte & Soul Motion - Chris Lizotte & Soul Motion
I like the tune 'Everybody wants to go to Heaven' from Larry Howard's
_Sanctified Blues_, but don't care as much for the rest of the album.
Glenn Kaiser, and Darrell Mansfield have other blues albums that I
haven't yet gotten around to giving a listen to, including a tribute to
Reverend Dan Smith (I think this one is just Mansfield).

Hi there:
There is some really great Christian Blues CDs out there right now,
including the ones already mentioned. One of my favourites is Glen
Kaiser's Spontaneous Combustion, amazing. Mansfield/ Turner "Blues with a
Feeling" is really good as well. So is Rex Carroll, "The Sessions" though
the last song isn't all that great. For live blues, Kaiser, Mansfield, and
Howard did a show at Cornerstone a few years ago and it came out as "Into
the Night" Fantastic!!!!!!!! Finally there is a new CD from a Canadian
who recorded in England with some Christian blues players that have played
with Clapton,Dylan, Joan Armatrading, Bill Wyman, Procol Harum and other.
A great band and an amazing CD. The CD is Landon Spradlin, "No More Blue
Mondays" with a name and title like that you have to get it! :-) If you
can't find it you can contact KLE-TOI Records 422 Dundas St. W, Napanee,
ON, Canada, K7R 2B7 fax (613) 354-4726. Believe me, you won't regret the
effort to get this one, the song No More Blue Mondays is worth the price of
the CD and everything else is equally good! Hope this helps.

Back in the mid-eighties, there were a couple of artists that did some
great stuff:
Barry DeFleron's _Whatever Happened to Love_ is a great 6 song southern
rock cassette on the Sword label that featured a pretty cool bluesy sound.
If you ever run across a copy, I highly recommend it. Hopefully, someday,
it'll be re-released.
Rob Cassells also did several albums of southern rock with occasional
bluesiness. Also recommended and probably much easier, while not easy, to
find.

And for some good stuff from the 90's, truly bluesy no less, check out:

Ooops. Just read what I typed last night. DOH!
The URL *should* be:

Don't know how that uppercase "b" slipped in there. Sorry...
