When I lived in Mentor, Ohio around 1973 I checked out an LP featuring two
Scottish male singers from the local library. There were a couple of
Gaelic songs, they sang Scotland the Brave, and perhaps Roamin in the
Gloamin. Would anyone have an idea who they were? Thanks much, not much
to go on I know. Please e-mail at AOL as well. Thanks.

It's not the Corries, as Craig Cockburn suggested. These songs don't
appear on any album listed in their discography. Perhaps it was McGregor
and Hall? Does anyone have a discography of McGregor & Hall?

It sounds like it might have been the likes of Kenneth McKellar, Andy Stewart, and members of that ilk.

Kenneth McKellar was a superb singer at the start of his career. IMO his
singing of Nessun Dorma and other classics surpassed the singing of Pavarotti
and Carreras today. Although he did end up singing trash, including the
Eurovision, he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as
Andy Stewart et al.
