Oh, that I could hear the birds again
In the fields of Ardmorn
Where the sun lies over Scullomvoe
And the mist silent all around.
Oh that I could see the bracken red
In the hills of Ardmorn
And the moss-green in between
And the rain falling softly down.
Oh that I could scent the breeze again
In the fields newly turned
And the storm clouds high above
And the gulls circling all around.

I believe it's late 1970. Early 1971 at latest. Gee...and I thought I was
the only person in the world that still had one! I'd asked Roy for his
words for "Banks of Newfoundland" and he thought it was easier to just give
me the booklet than to write them out.
Someone posted a while back that a regular book of their songs was in the
works but I haven't heard anything since.

I haven't come across it, though I'm a real Corries fan. I don't have
all their albums, though. What I can tell you (since I just looked) is
that it isn't in either of the first two Corries songbooks. Gavin
Browne is now working on a third, but I don't know whether or not this
song is in it.
