Their fiddle player, Mike Dugan, used to lurk here occasionally.
Mike, you out there. Any Scartaglen still available?

Mike's planning on releasing a solo album in the fall and Connie is working on
her 3rd album right now. Roger Landes (bouzouki and guitar player, also
formerly of Scartaglen) has been doing concerts around the country with
Connie lately. Mike and Roger are also currently in a new band called Nil
Inish, which also has Chris Grotewohl on banjo, and myself on keyboards,
accordion, and whistle. If you want to reach Mike, his e-mail address is:

Dear alejadro, I cant help you since my CD (C.Odissey) was lent it to
my brother and he didnt give it up to me..
When I get it back i´ll listen to that song and i´ll email you back...
bye, Roderick
I have ordered (and received) Scartaglen albums from:
Roger Landes (former band-member)
e-mail address:
74023...@compuserve.com
snail-mail address:
806 Thomas Street
Weston, MO

Roger has moved email to
In fact, I think he has a tune called "leaving Compuserve".
He is teaching at Swananoa this week, so he might be a while getting back
to his email.
Roger was (and still is!) a bouzouki player in Scartaglen. We are having
a workshop with him for lead and rhythm bouzouki/cittern playing during
Milwaukee Irish Fest in Milwaukee- 4 90 minute lessons for $90 a person.
Email me if you are interested- that's in Milwaukee, WI from the 12-15th
of August in the early evening (exact time TBA). We will have at least
one loaner bouzouki available..
Roger is a stellar player- this is a great opportunity to pick up some
new chops!

"Chuaigh me na Rosann" was commissioned by Narada in 1993 for "Celtic Odyssey." It
is one of three cuts recorded especially for that collection. All of the other cuts
were lifted from other previously released albums.
Roger has copies of 'The Middle Path' available as does Mike Dugger,
mdu...@primenet.com, also of Scartaglen fame.
If you have difficulty contacting either Roger or Mike, you could also try a number
of music stores - Elderly Instruments has a very large 'Celtic' range and have the
last Scartaglen album 'Last Nights Fun', http://www.elderly.com.

Neill
