Hello all! I just received the new Wolfstone CD from Green Linnet.
Really good, highly recommend it. The song that has really stood out
after only two listenings is "Sleepy Toon". It is listed in the
songwriting credits as "Traditional". Does anyone out there know anything
of the history of this song; where it comes from, who else has recorded
it, etc? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, C.W.

I've had that song for years - it's on Unleashed or The Chase. Is this a
new album you're talking about? Both albums are excellent!

Yes, new album. "Pick of The Litter", a "Best Of" sort of thing. The
song was originally on "Unleashed", but it's new to me! So, back to my
original question, does anyone have any backround info on this song?
Thanks, C.W.

I have it on good authority the chorus is:

"An sing I ree eritie a' ree
An sing I ree eritie tee an"

(damned if I know what it means!)

You have to try and get out more my friend! :-)
